US fest nods Iran narrative short ‘Forouzan’

Iran short flick ‘Forouzan’ grabs mention at Independent Shorts Awards in the US.

The short was recognized as Best Narrative Short at the June 2018 US film event based in Los Angeles.

‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

Independent Shorts Awards (ISA) is a monthly international film competition, with an annual live screening and awards event in North Hollywood, California.

Iranian short film ‘Forouzan’ has also been scheduled to be screened at the first edition of Astoria Film Festival in the US.
